The first patch for “Firebird” has just arrived!

We are happy to announce that with the new patch 1.30.1 we are addressing multiple issues outlined by the community - and we also managed to squeeze in fixes for several long-standing issues along the way. This patch is now available for EGS, Steam and GoG.

If you’re playing with mods - such as Terror From The Void or the Officer Class Mod - please make sure you have the latest versions installed.

  • On Steam, if your mods don’t update automatically, simply exit and restart Steam.

  • On EGS, be sure to download the latest versions from the mods’ respective GitHub pages.

You can find the list of bugfixes below:

  • Fixed an issue where equipping certain mounts would set soldier stamina to 0 when returning to the Geoscape.

  • Fixed a bug where a soldier having a body part disabled would set their stamina to 0 when returning to the Geoscape.

  • Fixed an issue preventing Priest Body and Leg armor from being manufactured.

  • Fixed a bug where the Technician Repair ability would fail to recognize valid targets.

  • Fixed a bug where exploring POIs would sometimes not generate an encounter.

  • Fixed the Myrmidon torso being immune to bleed damage (wings remain immune).

  • Fixed an issue where the Scrap Item function in the Manufacturing screen did not work correctly for ammunition.

  • Fixed the “+ ammo” button not working and destroying ammo when equipping from a hidden inventory slot.

  • Fixed a bug where the class select/deselect UI in the Manufacturing screen did not update, despite the filter working correctly.

  • Fixed a bug where the “!” notification on the Manufacturing button could not be cleared after a new ammo type was added.

  • Added an “All Classes” filter button to the Equipment Manufacturing list.

  • Fixed a bug where the joystick could select invisible items in the Research Queue.

  • Made the red “X” buttons in the Manufacturing Queue consistent with those in the Research Queue.

  • Fixed an issue where units in the first two aircraft slots could not be selected directly from the Aircraft Panel.

  • Removed empty module slots from aircraft in the Aircraft Panel.

  • Faction buttons in the Aircraft Panel now cycle through all aircraft on the globe when pressed repeatedly.

  • Aircraft can now be directly selected on the Geoscape when playing with a controller.

  • Reduced Factions’ research required time by 20%.

  • Fixed an issue where enemies could sometimes spawn next to neutral soldiers in Rescue Soldier missions.

  • Fixed a bug where enemies could spawn inside rocks in a specific Ancient Protean Mutane map.

  • Fixed an issue where Lairs would sometimes fail to generate a tactical mission.

  • Fixed an issue where a deployed vehicle could be unable to reach an exit in Lair missions.

  • Fixed an issue where the Armadillo and Kaos Buggy could take poison damage.

  • Fixed a bug where the Kaos Buggy with Spiked Armor would lose its turn after taking DoT or Overwatch damage.

  • Second attempt to fix a bug where actors could move into walls in certain Alien Base maps.

  • Fixed a bug where a soldier could get trapped inside a specific Synedrion column if standing on top of it when the walkable surface beneath was destroyed.

  • Fixed a bug where the Behemoth would stop patrolling and remain stationary until submerged.

  • Corruption of the Mind mission rewards are now consistent with Infested Haven missions (Behemoth Disruption Points included).

  • Added exit zones for aliens in Alien Plot missions.
